![]() Microsoft Edge (Chromium) by default, saves all files you choose to download to the ‘ Downloads‘ folder of your PC. If you select Save As, you will see the usual Explorer dialog box, which asks you for the name and download save location. If you select Save, the file will automatically get downloaded to your default Download folder. But if you wish, you can make Edge display the Save as Download Prompt, where you are asked if you want to Save or Save As. This works fine for most of us as we usually want to save the file in the Downloads folder. Whenever you download a file from the Internet, Microsoft Edge browser will directly start downloading the file and show you the following prompt: You can make Edge browser ask you where you want to save a downloaded file, by enabling the Save As Download Prompt on Windows 10.
